Greenville High School Raises More Than $170K for TD SYNNEX Share the Magic

GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 18, 2017) – On Friday, September 15, 2017 Greenville High School announced a total of $170,595 raised during their 2017 Spirit Week competition for charity beneficiary, TD SYNNEX Share the Magic.

TD SYNNEX Share the Magic is an annual fundraising initiative created by TD SYNNEX Corporation to provide funding for Upstate, SC children facing incredible challenges such as life-threatening illnesses, abuse, neglect, or developmental delays. The four beneficiaries are: A Child’s Haven, Clement’s Kindness, Make-A-Wish South Carolina, and Pendleton Place.

Greenville High School competed in a friendly rivalry against J.L. Mann and held a series of fundraising events to raise money for their respective charities.

“Spirit Week is every student at Greenville High’s favorite part of the year,” said Anne Frances Saad, Student Body President at Greenville High School. “I am fortunate to lead our student body in raising money and am proud to see our hard work paying off for such a great cause.”

TD SYNNEX Share the Magic Raises More Than $1.5 Million for Upstate Children’s Charities

GREENVILLE, S.C. (December 15, 2016)  TD SYNNEX Share the Magic, a charity fundraising initiative created by TD SYNNEX Corporation, (NYSE: SNX), announced today that more than $1.5 million was raised for four Upstate children’s charities. Beneficiaries of TD SYNNEX Share the Magic include: A Child’s Haven, Clement’s Kindness, Make-A-Wish South Carolina and Pendleton Place. TD SYNNEX Share the Magic was founded in 2011 by Peter Larocque, President, North American Technology Solutions for TD SYNNEX Corporation. Over the past six years, the initiative has raised more than $6.6 million for Upstate children. “After six years, TD SYNNEX Corporation is still proud of how our associates and business partners, along with community organizations and individuals, have united in the spirit of charitable giving to make real change in young lives through four highly deserving charities,” said Larocque. “We intend to raise an impactful amount year after year.” With the help of TD SYNNEX Share the Magic in 2016:
  • Make-A-Wish South Carolina will grant the heartfelt wishes of more than 150 children and their courageous families in 2017. By having one of their biggest dreams come true, these children and their families are able to take the focus off their illness through a joyful experience.
  • A Child’s Haven could decrease its dependency on diminishing government funds allowing them to serve 134 children suffering from trauma or developmental delays. It addition, it allowed their parents to receive necessary therapeutic interventions.
  • Clement’s Kindness could provide Upstate hospitals with critical facility upgrades that directly serve thousands of children impacted by pediatric cancer and blood disorders in addition to providing approximately $425,000 in direct financial assistance to the families.
  • Pendleton Place could provide residential and family-based services to 1,045 abused, neglected, and at-risk children in the Upstate community. In addition, hundreds of families benefited from the work accomplished through four key programs. Family Bridges, the Assessment Center, Connections Count and Smith House.
TD SYNNEX Share the Magic is a year-long initiative that raised more than $1.5 million in 2016 through several community events and culminated with a gala in October featuring nationally-acclaimed entertainment and high-dollar silent and live auctions. Community events include the TD SYNNEX Share the Magic Day at the Greenville Drive, a golf tournament, a guest bartending event at Bubba Annie’s, comedy night at The Greenville Comedy Zone, shopping nights at Monkee’s of the West End, Twill and Muse along with a jewelry showcase at Hale’s Jewelers. TD SYNNEX Share the Magic has also become a beneficiary of other premier fundraising events in Greenville, including the Bill Haas Charity Classic and the BMW Charity Pro-Am, both presented by TD SYNNEX Corporation.

Yearlong fundraising initiative raises a record amount for children in need across the Upstate

GREENVILLE, S.C. – November 20, 2015 – TD SYNNEX Share the Magic, a charity fundraising initiative created by TD SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), announced today that nearly $1 million is being distributed to four Upstate children’s charities. Beneficiaries of TD SYNNEX Share the Magic include: A Child’s Haven, Clement’s Kindness, Make-A-Wish® South Carolina and Pendleton Place for Children and Families.

Founded in 2011 by Peter Larocque, President, North America Technology Solutions for TD SYNNEX Corporation, TD SYNNEX Share the Magic raised $500,000 in its first year alone. Over the past five years, the initiative has raised more than $5 million for Upstate children, distributing more than $3 million to the four charities.

With the help of TD SYNNEX Share the Magic, Make-A-Wish South Carolina plans to grant the heartfelt wishes of 180 children and their courageous families in 2016. By having one of their biggest dreams come true, these children and their families are able to take the focus off their illness through a joyful experience.

In 2016, A Child’s Haven plans to create a new Parent Support Center servicing children ages 12 weeks to 18 months, open an additional classroom for two year olds and provide intensive training for staff in infant intervention.

Clement’s Kindness plans to complete renovations on the Knox and Priscilla Haynsworth Day Hospital at the BI-LO Charities Children’s Cancer Center as well as construction of the Dr. Cary E. Stroud Camper Care Center at Camp Courage. They will continue to provide financial assistance to families in need at the BI-LO Charities Children’s Cancer Center.

In 2016, Pendleton Place will serve abused and neglected children and support families in crisis by ensuring safety and child well-being through four recently expanded programs to include: Family Bridges, Assessment Center, Connections Count, and Smith House.

TD SYNNEX Share the Magic is a year-long initiative that raised $1.5 million in 2015 through several community events and culminated with a gala in October featuring nationally-acclaimed entertainment and high-dollar silent and live auctions. Community events include the TD SYNNEX Share the Magic Day at the Greenville Drive, a golf tournament, a guest bartending event at Bubba Annie’s, a jewelry showcase at Hale’s Jewelers, and a casino-themed party. TD SYNNEX Share the Magic has also become a beneficiary of other premier fundraising events in Greenville, including the Bill Haas Charity Classic and the BMW Charity Pro-Am, both presented by TD SYNNEX.

The sixth annual TD SYNNEX Share the Magic gala will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the TD Convention Center.

TD SYNNEX Share the Magic to Present Checks to Upstate Children’s Charities

Yearlong fundraising initiative raises record amounts for children in need across the Upstate

Greenville, S.C. – November 13, 2014 – TD SYNNEX Share the Magic, a charity fundraiser created by TD SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), announced today that it has raised more than $1.284 million for children in need, with nearly $810,000 to be distributed among four Upstate children’s charities. Beneficiaries of TD SYNNEX Share the Magic include: A Child’s Haven, Clement’s Kindness, Make-A-Wish South Carolina and Pendleton Place for Children and Families.

Founded in 2011 by Peter Larocque, President, North America Distribution for TD SYNNEX Corporation, $500,000 was raised in its first year alone. In 2012, $750,000 was raised and in 2013, $1.065 million was raised with more than $700,000 distributed to the four beneficiaries. Over the last four years, TD SYNNEX Share the Magic has collectively raised more than $3.59 million for Upstate children and distributed more than $2.3 million to its beneficiaries. While the amount of funds raised is significant, the impact it has on the lives of Upstate children and their families is truly immeasurable.

This year’s entertainment was provided by Cheap Trick. For the gala, TD SYNNEX brings their vendor partners, customers, and the Upstate community together for an inspiring evening to raise money for those in need. With the help of TD SYNNEX Share the Magic, Make-A-Wish South Carolina has been able to grant more than 38 wishes for children who are battling for their lives. More wishes were granted in 2014 than any other year in the history of the South Carolina chapter. By having one of their biggest dreams come true, these children and their families are able to take the focus off of being sick and experience joy in their lives. A Child’s Haven has been able to create a new Parent Support Center, expand their Parenting and Home Visitation program, and complete fundraising for their new facility that will allow them to serve more young children who are developmentally or emotionally delayed. Clement’s Kindness has given over $215,000 in direct assistance to families of children with cancer, pledged $300,000 to fund an infirmary at Camp Courage, and made significant upgrades to the Infusion Center at the BI-LO Charities Children’s Cancer Center. Pendleton Place for Children and Families has provided help for 285 abused and neglected children over the last three years. They have also been able to start three new programs that have dramatically impacted foster care in Greenville and how children who are victims of domestic violence receive care. Next year’s TD SYNNEX Share the Magic Gala will be held on Saturday, October 3 at the TD Convention Center. The goal in 2015 is even higher so that collectively, TD SYNNEX and the community, can come together to create even more impact to those who need the most.
