2020 has been a year of disruption and change. Yet, during these unprecedented times, it is also important to look at what we are grateful for as we adapt to a new environment. With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, we took some time to reflect and express thankfulness.

Here are just a few of the things we are grateful for in 2020:

The People Behind the Team:

To be successful in the IT channel, the SYNNEX Comstor team recognized early on that success was predicated upon having a strong team of people who were experts and could guide partners on their Cisco journey. This dedication to delivering a strong customer experience is at the core of the teams within the SYNNEX Comstor organization.  Here on EDGE360, we’ve highlighted many of these teams including engineering, services, sales, marketing, and program business managers.

This incredible team has been a top reason that SYNNEX Comstor has been recognized throughout the year for its contributions by Cisco. Earlier in the year, the team won the 2020 Cisco Marketing Velocity North American Disti Innovator Award for its EDGE program and recruiting new partners to Cisco. Most recently, SYNNEX Comstor was awarded Cisco Distributor of the Year for both the Americas and globally. These accomplishments are only made possible by the stellar teams behind the scene.

Our Partners:

The power of partnership has never been as relevant as it is in today’s new environment. As organizations were put into a tailspin during 2020, it was critical to come together, collaborate, and share insights and best practices of how to navigate in this new normal. The SYNNEX Comstor team continued to educate and engage partners through the EDGE Progression Program, ongoing webinar series, and virtual events.

Cisco Leadership in the Channel:

When the way you work and live is disrupted, you look to your leaders for insights and advice. In 2020, this was even more critical and the leaders from Cisco stepped up to the plate and not only shared their perspectives, but put their words into action to demonstrate that we are all in this together.

Oliver Tuszik, SVP of Cisco’s Global Partner organization, promised that Cisco’s partner strategy would remain strong with a focus on helping partners stay profitable and successful as different phases of disruption occurred. Similarly, Jennifer Keating, Director of Cisco’s Public Sector organization, also noted a shift towards partner and customer intimacy during these uncertain times.

Continued Technology Innovation:

2020 forced the adoption of technology in a way that we haven’t experienced before. From enabling remote work from home environment with virtual desktop solutions and WebEx conferencing to securing devices. The advancement of technology and innovation has helped spur business continuity. The team at SYNNEX Comstor used this time to examine how they can use technology tools to better enable EDGE partners’ Cisco journey including the EDGE Focus tool, which helps resellers navigate the complex Cisco ecosystem to secure valuable rebates, discounts, and training.

In addition, the team has created the EDGE Enablement Platform, a Cisco Learning Management System that grants partners access to a wide variety of on-demand Cisco training, that is regularly updated with the latest best practices. Shifting attitudes towards technology adoption and innovation are key in helping businesses adjust to the new normal and the SYNNEX Comstor team is ready to help.

Giving Back and Sharing the Magic:

While this year has been tough, there is no better way to lift one another up than by giving back to those in need. This is why the SYNNEX Comstor team has launched Share the Magic Colorado, a corporate fund-raising initiative created to provide much-needed funding for children and veterans facing incredible challenges, ranging from life-threatening illness to post-traumatic stress disorder. The company will be matching donations made to Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation: https://lnkd.in/dtX6am7 and Hope for the Warriors: https://lnkd.in/daaDQZN.
