Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” TD SYNNEX and our partners specialize in IT, but it’s the work behind the scenes through the Share the Magic Foundation that’s the most meaningful. Since its inception in 2011, Share the Magic has raised more than $17 million for an array of charities like Make-a-Wish, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Special Olympics, and Hope for the Warriors.
The Edge360 team recently had the opportunity to speak with Share the Magic Colorado Coordinator, Kelli Crannell, about the foundation’s accomplishments from 2022 as well as upcoming charitable opportunities. Keep reading for Crannell’s insight, sharing the 2023 magic.
EDGE360 Editors: Looking back at the past year, what were some of Share the Magic Colorado’s highlights in 2022?
Kelli Crannell: Reaching our goal and distributing $45,000 to each of our charity partners has to be the biggest highlight of 2022. Contributing to Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation and Hope for the Warriors, and making a difference in the lives of children, veterans, and their families is what Share the Magic is all about. Last fall, a group gathered at the Louisville, CO, office to make fleece blankets that were later delivered to Children’s Hospital. Each child who checks into the hospital is given a blanket, and we were grateful to have the opportunity to make a difficult stay and time a bit warmer and fuzzier. We are looking forward to making blankets once again this year and hope to have other TD SYNNEX locations join us.
EDGE360 Editors: Now looking ahead, what events are you most excited about in 2023?
Crannell: We are looking forward to our third annual golf tournament, and this year we are excited about our new location. It will be hosted at Saddleback Golf Club in Firestone, CO, on Monday, August 21. We are confident the golfers will be challenged by the course while still having an amazing view of the Rockies at every turn. Details are being finalized right now, and will be advertised very soon. Additionally, in the summer we are excited to once again host the Ragnar Trail Relay, which consists of teams running hundreds of miles over a weekend through the beautiful Colorado mountains. We also look forward to hosting our first-ever Share the Magic Poker Run. We have some great events in the works, and we can’t wait to see what else is in store as the year progresses.
EDGE360 Editors: What is Share the Magic Colorado’s charitable goal for the new year?
Crannell: We have an aggressive goal this year of $160,000. We are confident, however, with the continued support of our sponsors and increased golfer participation, we can meet our goal once again!
EDGE360 Editors: What are ways that partners can get involved with Share the Magic?
Crannell: There are many ways to get involved with Share the Magic: sponsorships, volunteer opportunities, silent auction donations, or participating in one of our many events.
