The value of a cohesive, comprehensive, secure remote work environment has become apparent to the vast majority of the workforce over the last year and a half. Much of the workforce has become accustomed to working from their home offices and engaging with their colleagues in myriad ways other than in-person, and many organizations have seen the productivity of their staffs increase as a result. In fact, a study from Great Place to Work noted that in a survey of more than 800,000 employees at Fortune 500 companies, employees reported stable or increased productivity levels after beginning remote work.

So, what does this mean for Cisco partners offering Collaboration and Security solutions to their customers? It means that the demand is there, and customers are looking to them for guidance in building their Workplace 2.0. In an effort to drive broader adoption of Collaboration and Security solutions in a time when the workplace looks completely different than it did even a few years ago, SYNNEX Comstor is offering a sales program incentive fund, or SPIFF, specifically focused on those offerings.

“This SPIFF is easy cash for partners who engage with it,” stated Gavin Critchlow, Product Business Manager for Cisco Collaboration at SYNNEX Comstor. Critchlow explained that Collaboration plus Security equals Secure Remote Work, SYNNEX Comstor’s moniker for this SPIFF, and it directly addresses the needs of today’s hybrid work environment.

“Our world’s workers were forced into remote work in the last year, and I think it proved to companies that they still get great performance from their remote employees,” Critchlow said. “And given the major cost reduction in closing office buildings or downgrading in size for a rotational workforce or for those teams who need to be on-site, we will see a trend toward remote work. I really think we are at the beginning of this shift, and we will see an acceleration very soon. Cisco is set up better than any vendor out there to offer this solution with its robust and intelligent Webex collaboration platform and a security practice that rivals the best out there.”

According to Critchlow, the steps are built into the EDGE Focus tool for tracking, and partners earn points by essentially engaging in the activities they are already well-versed in for their customers. Half of the points are earned by attending webinars, going through trainings, utilizing engineers to do demos for customers, and other day-to-day tasks designed to increase knowledge and awareness. The other half of earning points is selling Cisco Collaboration and Security. “You can sell one or the other, but if you are able to sell both on one PO, that’s where you earn the big points,” Critchlow noted.

Critchlow encourages partners to engage with the Secure Remote Work SPIFF while there’s still time, as the promotion ends on the last day of July. The stakes are high with a combined total of $24K being given away to 10 winners. To be eligible to win prizes, partners must have billed a minimum of $15K of qualifying Security and/or Collaboration solutions between March 26, 2021 and July 31, 2021. Cisco Tier 1 Partners and Direct Market Resellers (DMRs) do not qualify for this SPIFF.
