Bringing Value and a Competitive EDGE to Our Partners

Most companies have a mission or value statement. In some cases, these statements are created and rarely looked at again. In others, it is core to the company’s foundation and is reflected in everything the organization does – from employee relations to customer service and beyond.

When I joined Comstor in 2013, I had nearly 20 years under my belt as a distribution professional. I knew the ins and outs of the industry. And, I was still impressed when I was presented with Comstor’s value statement:

“Comstor is more than you might expect from a distributor. We are your dynamic value partner, helping you grow your business with tailored solutions, when and how you need them. We are here to help you prepare for tomorrow and evolve with the changing times. We are your competitive EDGE.”

For me, the pivotal points within our value statement are our promise to be a dynamic value partner, our ability to offer tailored solutions when and how you need them in addition to our promise to continually evolve, thereby allowing our customers to change and evolve with the times.

These are the cornerstones of Comstor’s EDGE methodology, which offers the opportunity to Engage with our customers in a meaningful way,  Develop their skill sets and strategies, provide specific services that drive Growth, and Extend their business models into new and developing markets, regardless of their size or status in the Cisco channel program.

I believe our ability to be dynamic value partners for our customers is second to none. Using an example we can all relate to:  When you have an issue at your house, perhaps your plumbing backs up, you go out and hire a certified plumber to perform a particular function. You don’t keep one on staff ‘just in case’ but rather you engage a service when it’s needed for the length of time it’s needed. But, many companies these days still employ several ‘plumbers’ and while those services may drive significant value when they are active, they are not always optimized.   To alleviate that issue, as your dynamic value partner, we offer a variety of services that can quickly scale up or down as needed, without sacrificing value and expertise. Because of the valued partnership, we bring services to our customers when they need them, for as long as they need them.

In our quest to enable customers’ structure and scale of their own businesses quickly and efficiently, we offer “tailored solutions.” Some of those services are a suite of financial services, staging and integration services as an extension of IT support services, and global shipping and delivery. Consider this:   Our solution provider partners are being asked to perform functions that previously would have been available from only a handful of global corporations.  These functions include shipping across the world, monitoring and managing data centers, and financing opportunities valued in the tens of millions of dollars. Partnering with Comstor, and understanding the driving principles of EDGE, affords our partners the opportunity to think beyond the scope of their current business environment and drive incremental growth and profitability.

Last, but certainly not least, we are here to help you prepare for tomorrow and evolve with the changing times. We continually drive the evolution of our business in order to drive the evolution of our customers’ businesses. For example, recently Comstor acquired Intact Integrated Services, in an effort to bolster partner-led services and enable reseller customers of any size to scale and structure their own businesses. Additionally, we have recently acquired Verecloud to extend our capabilities in cloud services. It is our perpetual goal to consistently evolve so that our customers can do the same.

So, as I mentioned earlier, our core values are a part of everything we do, and we continue to stand by these values as we help our partners grow.
