IT is big business, and one of the largest opportunities these days for partners to streamline operations, enhance security, and accelerate growth is through managed services. Managed Services Providers (MSPs) play a crucial role in delivering these services, but navigating the complexities of offering comprehensive solutions can be challenging. To address this, TD SYNNEX has introduced Managed Services Providers as a Service (MSPaaS), designed to empower distribution partners to deliver top-tier managed services with ease. In a recent webinar, Molarvie Rom, Strategic Business Manager for Cisco MSPs, brought together other TD SYNNEX leaders to discuss leveraging this new offering for SMB success, spotlighting the Cisco MSP Expressway, TD SYNNEX Meraki Managed Servies, and TD SYNNEX Capital.

Rom started the webinar explaining that MSPaaS represents a holistic approach to managed services, encompassing several key components designed to empower MSPs and enhance their service offerings, whether they are new to managed services or established entities looking to expand their offerings. The three main parts are Cisco’s MSP Expressway Offers for SMBs, TD SYNNEX Meraki Managed Services, and TD SYNNEX Capital. “We break it down as three different components, but really in the end, we want to be able to add value to our partners and have them leverage us in a very meaningful way,” Rom shared. “You can pick and choose what you need. For example, if you find out that you don’t need the financing component of it, but you want to leverage us for the Meraki services component, you can do so. Pick it apart. Take what you need.”

At the forefront is Cisco’s MSP Expressway for SMBs, introduced at the Partner Summit and aimed at driving tailored outcomes and experiences for customers. Cisco currently has several partner ready offerings available, particularly targeted toward newer MSPs to Cisco and those seeking to expand their service portfolios. “The idea of it is wrapping around the MSP’s managed services offering with the Cisco solution to create these different outcomes for your customers,” Rom said. It enables MSPs to navigate Cisco’s solutions effectively, tailoring them to meet their one of four specified client outcomes: Remote SMB, Hybrid SMB, Secure SMB, or Smart SMB.

Another integral component is the Meraki Management Component, which focuses on monitoring and managing Meraki devices on behalf of MSPs and their customers. This component offers a range of services, including incident management, fault monitoring, performance reporting, and change management. Rom said, “TD SYNNEX will come in and monitor and manage those Meraki devices on behalf of you for your customers.” By offloading the management of Meraki devices, it allows partners more time to focus on strategic initiatives and business growth, particularly beneficial during periods of hypergrowth or resource constraints.

Addressing the financial challenges often faced by MSPs, TD SYNNEX Capital offers flexible financing solutions as the third pillar of MSPaaS, with options to cover entire opportunities, including hardware, licenses, and professional services. Michael Lauber, Financial Solutions Rep for TD SYNNEX Capital, broke it down to describe what his team does: “We are the captive finance arm of TD SYNNEX. We price and structure all of our own deals. We issue all of our own contracts. We service our own portfolio. When we’re looking to approve a deal, we’re leveraging portfolio data.” TD SYNNEX Capital helps alleviate the burden of high upfront costs and accelerates cash flow for partners. “The purpose of us is to help increase credit capacity. Any deal that is financed through TD SYNNEX Capital does not go on your guys’ net line. It goes on a leasing account, so it helps keep your open terms open,” Lauber added.

MSPaaS represents a shift in the way managed services are delivered, offering distribution partners a framework to enhance their service offerings and drive business growth. With the support of the combined expertise of TD SYNNEX, Cisco, and Meraki, partners can deliver unparalleled value to their customers while unlocking new opportunities for revenue generation and market expansion. Implementing MSPaaS involves a structured operational framework to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. This includes incident management processes, change management workflows, and onboarding procedures for Meraki devices.

In an era marked by digital transformation and heightened business demands, MSPaaS emerges as a strategic solution for distribution partners seeking to navigate the complexities of managed services. By integrating technology, expertise, and financial support, MSPaaS empowers partners to deliver value-added services, drive business growth, and exceed customer expectations in a rapidly evolving marketplace. For distribution partners looking to leverage MSPaaS, navigating the ecosystem can seem daunting. With a clear understanding of each component’s role and benefits, however, partners can capitalize on the opportunities presented by MSPaaS. Through these tailored solutions, TD SYNNEX endeavors to equip MSPs with the tools and resources needed to meet the evolving needs of their customers, leading to SMB success.
