This year’s Varnex 2020 went virtual, yet still delivered the same great content that partners have come to expect from SYNNEX live events. From a strong line up of SYNNEX leadership to partner executives, including Cisco, partners learned that through the power of partnership, they can navigate these unprecedented times that lay ahead.

Varnex 2020 organizers crafted an agenda that truly reflected the needs of the attendees. With a focus on moving forward towards a hybrid future, the event boasted several highly relevant sessions. From hybrid IT and Everything-as-a-Service to significant vendor training sessions, Varnex provided the information that partners need to know to continue being successful today and tomorrow.

For those partners that were unable to attend Varnex 2020, the EDGE360 editorial team recapped the most interesting moments in this social roundup:

Varnex 2020 began with an exciting showcase of virtual sponsors and partners. Cisco, along with many other SYNNEX partners, showcased their latest technology on the virtual exhibit floor. As vendors staffed virtual booths, participants were able to interact with any vendor at their leisure. While nothing can compete with in-person booths, Varnex worked hard to make sure that both showcases ran as smoothly as possible.

Understanding the changes to what partners need is critical to weathering the ongoing evolution in the industry. Varnex 2020 provided ample opportunity for attendees to listen and participate in conversations on what are the best moves to make today to be successful tomorrow.

Varnex Council President, Paul Benson, illustrated that best through his discussion on the ever-changing needs of the end-user and how partners can prepare for 2021. He noted that times are changing and what worked in the past may not be relevant in today’s environment. To be successful in the future it is critical to listen to the needs of your partners and customers.

The second day of the conference featured the Varnex Signature Awards, which celebrated outstanding achievements in the community. The awards were given out in the same three categories: Company Awards, Sales Awards, and Spirit Awards. NWN Corporation won Overall Revenue, and Thomas Lohr, Techworks Consulting, won the Spirit Award. The full list of winners can be found here.

Conferences provide excellent opportunities for people to interact with each other and create relationships that empower everyone in the industry. While many were worried about losing that aspect of a conference by going virtual, Varnex 2020 once again proved that it is possible to network with someone not in the same room as you.

Member-led sessions were a critical part of the Varnex experience with partners engaging with each other to share problems and solutions. Attendees were able to connect on all levels and forge the connections that will power the industry through.

In the end, however, Varnex 2020 wasn’t only about navigating the future, but also about engaging the partner community. Participants were treated to a free virtual cooking class as well as a private concert from Ed Robertson of the Barenaked Ladies! Both events brought together participants and provided the ending note to a successful conference.

While Varnex 2020 may have concluded, the Varnex community continues to engage in bi-weekly roundtables and vendor solutions series. Together, they’ve developed synergies and discovered the power of partnerships that will help them better navigate the future ahead.
