For four strong years, TD SYNNEX associates, vendors, partners, and community friends have gathered on a golf course between late summer and early fall to play a round of golf. But although fun is a huge part of the day, this game is more than just casual play. This is all part of the TD SYNNEX Share the Magic annual golf benefit, aimed at raising money for two incredibly important causes: Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation and Hope for the Warriors.
The 2024 Share the Magic Colorado charity golf tournament, now in its fourth year, delivered yet another resounding success on September 20, building on its growing tradition of making a meaningful impact. Jay Denton, Sr. Vice President and Chairman of the Board of the TD SYNNEX Share the Magic Colorado chapter, shared, “We had beautiful September weather at Coal Creek Golf Course in Louisville, CO, for the 124 golfers, 18 sponsoring vendors and 10 company volunteers, and raised over $106k for our two charities. We were able, after covering expenses, to give $80,000, with $40,000 to each charity for their vital work with children, veterans and their families.”
Over the past four years, Denton said that Share the Magic Colorado has raised an incredible $425,940, a testament to the dedication and generosity of everyone involved. These contributions help fund the vital work of the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation, which provides essential medical care and services to children, and Hope for the Warriors, which offers critical support to veterans and their families.
September 20, 2024, was filled with excitement, competition, and a few surprises. In addition to some of the usual events attendees have come to anticipate, Denton said, “We had some unique aspects this year, with the Golf Cannon and the Closest to the Yeti Cooler contest, that had everyone engaged and just a little bit competitive!” These unique additions made the event even more memorable and enjoyable for everyone.
Attendees were also honored to have representatives from both charities in attendance. Caroline Davis from Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation, and Leslie Hunt and Jessica Skousen from Hope for the Warriors, took the time to speak to the group. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support, sharing how much these contributions mean to the people they serve.
While the event is over for now, plans for next year are already on the horizon. Denton made sure to express how much goes into this fantastic event: “It takes an incredible amount of work and communication to put this together and pull it off as well as it went, and that’s in large part thanks to Kelli Crannell and her amazing event planning skills!” Looking ahead, Denton said the goal for the 2024 tournament is clear—continue to build on this success and surpass the half-million-dollar mark in funds raised over five years. As the TD SYNNEX Share the Magic Golf Benefit continues to grow, one thing remains constant: the unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of children, veterans, and their families. Here’s to another year of fun, charity, and meaningful impact on and off the golf course!
